![]() ![]() ![]() To the best of my knowledge, unlocking an Orb spell on a modded run still counts despite most forms of progress not being permanently recorded when mods are enabled I have not reset my progress since 1.0, however, so this may have been a bug and fixed. This happens whenever you take the Orb, not just the first time. It CAN be escaped if you can get far enough away fast enough to cause the area it's in to get too far away to simulate (Noita only simulates a certain radius of tiles around you at any one time). The closest one to spawn, and the easiest for a novice to get, is defended by a very difficult and dangerous miniboss with strong damage resistances grabbing the Orb causes the boss to say hello in the most unwelcome and unpleasant way. In future runs that Orb will instead be a health up heart. The first time an Orb is taken, it instantly unlocks its related spell and drops a copy of that spell for you to have (and if you have Tinker with Wands Anywhere, use) immediately. For example, Nuke.Ī handful of spells must be unlocked by locating Orbs of True Knowledge, a fixed number of which are found across the map in secret locations. These spells are very powerful and often dangerous, or in a handful of cases advanced wand-building utility spell toys, and that's what makes them unsuitable for being in the spell/wand spell lists from the start. There are a number of spells that must be unlocked by some manner of secret in order to be added to the randomized spell pool. Nightmare mode is unlocked by beating the game once, and I'm pretty sure the main menu tells you this so it's not a secret or a spoiler. ![]()
